The Latin American Memorial is becoming a hub for Asian culture this weekend! The 1st Asian Festival of Korean and Japanese Cuisine and Culture + Adoption Fair takes over the venue with free admission, a pet-friendly environment, and over 18 hours of attractions.
The event coincides with Chuseok, a kind of “harvest festival” and one of Korea’s most traditional celebrations. The date anchors much of the festival’s program, which blends tradition and pop culture into an unmissable experience.

São Paulo’s new Asian festival will feature two days of nonstop entertainment. On Saturday, the audience will enjoy performances of Samulnori ( traditional Korean percussion), K-popcover bands, and shows by Tamashii Taiko, a Japanese drumming group. Finally, Banda Aura will close out the night with the best anime songs.
On Sunday, the highlight is the Grand Cosplay Contest & Parade, for which advance registration is available via the official form. There will also be performances by the Bukmaru group, featuring Korean drums (buk) and flute; the Legacy Blackpink Cover group; and the J-Rock band Re:Code.
In addition, visitors can enjoy the Random Play Dance on both days of the event, reenacting famous K-pop dance routines. There are also free Korean calligraphyworkshops and the opportunity to try on the hanbok, the country’s traditional attire.

Asian cuisine and a full-scale Asian market
Cuisine is also a central attraction at the 1st Asian Festival at the Memorial da América Latina. The menu features Korean classics such as tteokbokki, bulgogi, and corn dogs, alongside traditional Japanese dishes like takoyaki, onigiri, tonkatsu kare, and taiyaki. Desserts include mochi, matcha crepes, tanghulu, and soju ice cream.
In addition to the varied menu, attendees will find an Asian Market featuring imported snacks and a Mini Mall for fans and collectors, offering K-pop albums, lightsticks, photocards, Korean cosmetics, and action figures.
In partnership with the NGO Vira Lata Club, the venue will also host a dog and cat adoption fair, where you can adopt a pet or donate pet food and medication. Mark your calendar now so you don’t miss it!
