The Italian city of Naples hosted the 50 Top Pizza World 2026 ceremony on Tuesday, the 15th—the industry’s leading international ranking. Brazil placed six establishments among the world’s top 100, and Leggera Pizza Napoletana stood out as one of the evening’s highlights.
In addition to it, four other pizzerias in São Paulo made the list. This makes São Paulo the third-most represented city in the ranking, behind only Naples and New York.

Leggera Pizza Napoletana is the best pizzeria in São Paulo (and in Latin America)
Leggera reached the 6th position in the guide, being the only Latin American pizzeria to appear in the Top 10. This is the third consecutive time that the Neapolitan-style pizzeria has made it into the select global 50 Top Pizza ranking, having been named the best pizzeria in Brazil since 2024.
Next on the list from São Paulo was QT Pizza Bar, which jumped from 36th to 17th place between 2025 and 2026. The restaurant also took home one of the top special awards: the 2026 Pizza of the Year – Latteria Sorrentina Award.
The Italian organization recognized the “Pomodori” flavor, created by chef Matheys Ramos to celebrate his anniversary with the restaurant and now a permanent fixture on the menu. Priced at R$ 79, the pizza showcases tomatoes in all their forms: it features San Marzano D.O.P. sauce, yellow cherry tomatoes, fermented tomatoes, roasted and smoked tomatoes, crispy tomato bits, and is finished with sun-dried tomato aioli.

Brazilian pizzerias at the top of the global ranking
In addition to Leggera Pizza Napoletana and QT Pizza Bar, three other São Paulo pizzerias appear on the list. Pizza da Mooca ranked 41st; Unica Pizzeria, 46th; and Veridiana, 75th. Rio de Janeiro also made the list with Bento Pizzeria, ranked 70th.
In the overall rankings, Michele Pascarella’s Napoli on the Road in London secured first place. Anthony Mangieri’s Una Pizza Napoletana in New York came in second, and Francesco Capece and Mario Ventura’s Confine in Milan took third.
The 2026 edition features pizzerias from 36 countries. Italy leads with 31 establishments in the ranking, followed by the United States, with 22, and Brazil, with six. Anonymous inspectors compile the guide and evaluate product quality and the customer experience throughout the year.
