Apesar da cidade contar com mais de 100 parques públicos, é impossível não falar do mais visitado pela população, o Parque Ibirapuera.
A famosa “praia” dos paulistanos, o Ibirapuera é o mais importante parque urbano da cidade. Seus três lagos artificiais são interligados e ocupam 1,6 milhão de metros quadrados. E, além disso, possui uma série de opções de lazer e esportes para toda a família. São ciclovias, 13 quadras iluminadas, pistas de corrida, ginásio.
Não fosse o bastante para um parque, o Parque Ibirapuera se destaca por oferecer também opções culturais em seu complexo. Entre os mais famosos, estão os prédios da Bienal, o Museu Afro Brasil, a Oca, o Museu de Arte Moderna, o Auditório e outros.

Inaugurado em 21 de agosto de 1954 durante as comemorações do IV Centenário de São Paulo, o projeto do Parque foi concebido pelos arquitetos Oscar Niemeyer, Ulhôa Cavalcanti, Zenon Lotufo, Eduardo Kneese de Mello, Ícaro de Castro Mello, além do paisagista Augusto Teixeira Mendes.
