Thermas dos Laranjais is often cited as one of the best water parks in São Paulo. Now, the complex in Olímpia has also received major international recognition: the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has named the destination the most-visited water park in the Americas.
According to the association’s survey, which tracks visitation rates and trends at entertainment venues around the globe, the São Paulo attraction also secured third place among the most visited in the world.
The result places the state of São Paulo at the top of global tourism. After all, the site attracts tourists from various regions seeking fun and relaxation at the hot springs of the “Brazilian Orlando,” located 440 kilometers from the state capital.

São Paulo water park breaks attendance record
The Themed Entertainment Association’s annual report demonstrates the strength of Brazil’s tourism sector. The report reveals that the park reached the milestone of 1.9 million visitors throughout 2025: a 5.4% increase compared to the previous year.
This increase in visitation has made Thermas dos Laranjais the undisputed leader across the entire American continent, surpassing major competitors in Latin America and the United States.
For the complex’s management, this recognition is the result of constant investment in innovation. Today, visitors can enjoy 300,000 square meters of facilities, including a water roller coaster, artificial beaches, and 70 kilometers of water slides.

Thermas dos Laranjais: Water Fun All Year Round
In the 1980s, Petrobras was drilling in Olímpia in search of oil. However, the company discovered a different kind of treasure: the warm waters of the Guarani Aquifer, the second-largest underground reservoir on the planet.
Following the accidental discovery, Thermas dos Laranjais was established to take advantage of this natural resource. Today, the complex’s dozens of pools and water slides are fed by naturally warm water that emerges from the ground at temperatures ranging from 26 °C to 38 °C.
That’s why the park is the ideal attraction for any time of year. Whether at the height of summer or on cold winter days, families will always find relaxing pools and a cozy atmosphere.
