Can you imagine visiting a zoo where all the animals are stuffed animals? Now it’s possible! Tabatinga, in the interior of São Paulo, has just opened the ‘Enchanted World of Stuffed Animals’, the first zoo in Brazil dedicated exclusively to these adorable “residents”. With free admission until the end of 2024, the space is perfect for families, children and fans of unique experiences.
The city in the interior of São Paulo is known as the national capital of stuffed animals. So there was no better place to host the themed attraction. What’s more, the project promises to surprise with playful scenarios and animals made by factories in the region itself.
What can you find in the stuffed animal zoo?
The ‘Enchanted World of Plush Animals’ was designed to be a magical universe. Among the highlights are five themed scenarios that recreate natural environments in a playful and colorful way. Check out some of them:
- Forest;
- North Pole;
- Bottom of the Sea.
Before exploring the “habitats”, visitors watch a pre-show that presents interesting facts about the stuffed animals and the history of local handicrafts. Each guided tour welcomes groups of up to 40 people, making the experience interactive and educational.
Tabatinga and stuffed animals:
This small inland town has a strong historical link with stuffed animals, being a national reference in the production of these items that delight children and adults alike. There, the sector accounts for 9% of the local economy and generates many direct and indirect jobs. Thus, the zoo is designed to combine the creative economy with fun, offering an experience that has everything to do with Tabatinga.
To visit, just go to the Águas do Vale Park. The zoo will be open daily until the end of 2024 with free admission. Take the opportunity to explore this unique attraction and support local production in Tabatinga, which is now also shining as a tourist hub in the state of São Paulo.
