NALATA Festival 2024 is more than a cultural event – it’s a celebration of urban art. During the eight-day event, São Paulo will be the global meeting point for artists and art lovers. After all, the annual event aims to transform the city’s public spaces into an open-air museum.
This year, the partnership with STRAAT marks a new chapter in the festival’s history. Visitors will be able to see the fusion of the artistic cultures of São Paulo and Amsterdam at the NALATAxSTRAAT House, which will be the epicenter of the event.
From Thursday to Sunday, the public will be able to take part in free workshops, talks and interactive activities for all ages. There will also be exhibitions of works by 40 artists, including Criola, Tinho SP and Dutch duo Telmo Miel. Other interventions will also be spread across murals and gables in the Pinheiros neighborhood, as well as video mapping exhibitions.
NALATA Festival’s artistic legacy for São Paulo
Since 2020, the NALATA Festival has left a lasting impact on the streets of São Paulo. After all, since then, the city has seen more than 64 murals, container installations and interventions in schools.
The event has used more than 13,000 cubic meters of paintings and 11,000 liters of paint to transform the capital of São Paulo into an open-air gallery.
This time, the festival promises to continue this legacy, strengthening urban culture in Brazil and providing new visual experiences for the city. In addition, NALATA is consolidating itself as an essential platform for the rise of new talents in the world of graffiti and street art.
