Get ready to sing and dance to ABBA’s greatest hits during the 2026 season of *Mamma Mia! * The acclaimed musical returns this Thursday, the 18th, bringing the energy of Greece to the stages of São Paulo following the resounding success of its previous run.
The Brazilian production premiered in 2023 and, since then, has drawn more than 100,000 spectators to theaters in São Paulo. Now, the show—which premiered in London in 1999 and has been translated into 14 languages—is set to thrill even more fans across the city!

Comedy, romance, and a killer soundtrack
The musical is set on a paradise island in Greece and revolves around Sophie, a young woman about to get married. Hoping to discover her father’s identity, she secretly invites three of her mother’s former suitors to the ceremony.
This lighthearted quest for one’s origins takes on a special touch with a soundtrack packed with ABBA hits. As a result, the audience follows the story to the sounds of “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Voulez-Vous ,” and other classics by the Swedish group.
Another highlight of the musical *Mamma Mia! * is its cast, featuring more than 20 performers on stage. Among the leading names are actress Claudia Netto, who plays the protagonist and Sophie’s mother, Donna, as well as Totia Meireles and Gottsha, who portray best friends Tanya and Rosie.
