Located in Itu, Maeda Park is less than 100 km from São Paulo and is a perfect family day trip option. The space offers a complete infrastructure with various attractions for enjoying a stroll in the open air. Among them is the traditional fruit picking, which is a hit in the region.
The park is located on the Rodovia Deputado Archimedes Lammoglia – Km 18, just 1 hour and 40 minutes away. So all you have to do is plan ahead and “hit the road” for an incredible day full of adventures in the middle of nature.
If you like lychees, the time to visit Maeda Park is now! From December to January, the park is offering a rather unusual activity: visitors can take part in the lychee harvest and eat as many as they like straight from the tree. The tour costs R$45 per person and only takes place once a year.
What to do in Maeda Park?
There is no shortage of leisure options in this park! There, you’ll find a 27,000 m² Japanese garden to relax in, you can have fun in the water park, go sport fishing, visit the Giant Tree, made up of three centenary trees and with a 22-meter Tree House and a lookout point at the top, take a train ride or a cable car, which has two routes: 920 and 1100 meters.
And if you can’t do all this in just one day, you can stay at Pousada Maeda. But if you’d rather just do the day use, you should know that lunch and some attractions are included.
In addition to these activities, the park also offers horseback riding and helicopter flights. That’s right, you can venture into the heights and see nature from a privileged, panoramic view.
Strawberries and other fruits!
One of the great attractions of Maeda Park is the fruit tasting. As well as strawberries, visitors will find delicious jabuticabas and lychees, picked directly from the trees. There are more than 700 jaboticaba trees in the orchard, which delight fans of the fruit.

Strawberries are a favorite among visitors because they can be enjoyed with condensed milk. The park’s greenhouse is 3,000 m² and has more than 20,000 strawberry seedlings, so you can really enjoy this rodízio for just R$45!
