The MAC viewpoint was previously unavailable to the public, but has been reopened to visitors in recent weeks. And the best part: admission is free!

The USP Museum of Contemporary Art was founded in 1963 and currently has 10,000 works, including paintings, prints, photographs and installations. It is one of the great centers of modern art in Brazil, bringing together works from home and abroad.
Housed in an eight-storey building, it has a terrace with breathtaking views, next to the capital’s most famous park. And from now on, it’s available to the public for free again !
The golden tip is to visit the viewpoint after 5pm to catch the sunset. Get ready for a spectacle of nature, together with the beautiful urban landscape of São Paulo! And there ‘s no need to book an appointment or wait in line, just arrive and admire.
The terrace also has a restaurant, Vista Ibirapuera. The house is part of the MICHELIN Guide 2024 in other words, it’s your chance to have a delicious dinner with a 360° view of the São Paulo capital.
How to visit?
The MAC is located at Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral, 1301, in Vila Mariana. Entrance to the museum and parking are free, and you can visit it from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11am to 9pm. More information on the website.
