“I love seeing you, little lion!”. If there’s one thing that’s a big hit on the internet, it’s videos of cute cubs. Who doesn’t love it when this kind of content appears on their timeline? Newborns really delight the public! So, the São Paulo Zoo is ending 2024 on a high note by introducing visitors to the four lion cubs that were born there in November.
These “feline babies” are the offspring of Erindi, a female, and Django, a male. The lioness came from Gaia Zoo, located in the Netherlands, while the lion is Danish, from Copenhagen Zoo.
How to visit the lion cubs at Zoo SP?
Born in November, the cubs are still in the “maternity ward” with their mother. We can’t see them in the lion cage yet, but on a television installed in the feline area. So as not to stress out the new family.
The sex of the cubs is not yet known, but they will soon be named after characters from the classic 90s film, The Lion King. In other words, we can expect a Simba, Nala, Mufasa and, who knows, even a Scar on the way!
More attractions are coming to the zoo at the end of the year!
In addition to the four new arrivals, Zoo SP is also home to 18 lions. As a result, our beloved zoo has the largest population of the species in Brazil and Latin America. If you want to see the giant cats, this is the place for you!
When you visit the capital’s tourist attraction, you’ll also be able to see the new attractions, such as the Aqua Safari ride, the chimpanzee environment, the new residents: Magellanic penguins and black-browed marmosets, the Dino World, Xochimilco (home to the axolots) and night-time experiences at “Animal Night“.
In other words, for this vacation, a visit to Zoo SP is a must!
