Few people know it, but in the middle of the Morumbi neighborhood is hidden a jewel of modern Brazilian architecture: the Glass House. Built between 1950 and 1951, it was Lina Bo Bardi’s first project in Brazil and also the home of the Italian-Brazilian architect and her husband for over 40 years. In 1987, the space was listed by CONDEPHAAT, recognizing its historical and cultural importance. Today, visitors can enjoy guided tours that reveal interesting facts about the life and work of this great artist.
The name of the residence couldn’t be more evocative: the huge glass façade overlooks the native forest that surrounds the building. So if you’re passionate about the world of architecture, it’s worth a visit!

Visit Lina Bo Bardi’s Glass House:
The residence currently houses the Lina Bo and P.M. Bardi Institute, a research and cultural dissemination center focused on architecture, design, urbanism and popular art. The space promotes exhibitions, meetings and debates, making it a real meeting point for those who breathe creativity.
The house’s surroundings are also spectacular and add to the beauty of the architectural monument. There, visitors will find a beautiful 7,000 m² garden, planted by Lina Bo Bardi herself.
