The numbers behind the largest edition in history
According to the organizers, this year’s figures make the 28th edition of the São Paulo International Book Biennial the largest in its history. In total, 269 exhibitors have been confirmed, and more than 700,000 visitors are expected, along with 350 national and international authors, in addition to approximately 3,450 hours of programming.
But the event’s grandeur doesn’t stop there. The 2026 edition also marks a significant physical and operational expansion, now covering 86,000 square meters. Just to give you an idea, that figure represents a 28% increase compared to the previous event. So, there will be no shortage of reasons to visit this massive literary gathering.

The São Paulo International Book Biennial wouldn’t be the same without your favorite authors, would it? So get ready: the curators have gone all out and will be hosting unforgettable events.
