This weekend, the 17th and 18th, Bom Retiro is hosting the 17th edition of the Korean Culture Festival. From 11am to 8pm, the public will be able to enjoy a fusion of music, dance, martial arts and, of course, the rich Korean cuisine.
The event takes place at Praça Coronel Fernando Prestes, in front of Tiradentes station, and at Oswald de Andrade (Rua Três Rios), promising an immersion in the traditions and innovations of South Korea. Admission is free and the full program can be found at official festival instagram.
New attractions and much more at the Korean Culture Festival
Among this year’s novelties, the most eagerly awaited attraction is the South Korean boy band NTX. The group will take to the stage on Saturday at 7pm and on Sunday at 5pm. Totally free!
In addition, the K-Pop dance competition, now in its 12th edition, brings the vibrant spirit of Korean pop culture to the Brazilian public. Pre-selected contestants from a pool of over 100 applicants will show off their dance skills, paying homage to the cultural phenomenon that has taken the world by storm: K-Pop.
The Festival program also includes performances by dance, martial arts and singing groups, as well as exhibitions, art workshops, games and competitions. And lots of Korean delicacies to try, of course!
Draw for a ticket to Korea
In addition to introducing South Korean culture to São Paulo residents , the Korean Culture Festival gives the public the chance to get to know this country (even) more closely. On Saturday and Sunday, both at 2pm, there will be a draw for a ticket to South Korea. One more reason not to miss out!
