São Paulo is full of great stories. One of them is the history of the São Paulo Jockey Club, the organization responsible for the emblematic Cidade Jardim racetrack. Formed in the 19th century by young men and gentlemen from São Paulo’s elite, the society helped the economic growth of the capital, which had just over 30,000 inhabitants at the time.
Today, the Jockey Club is home to around 800 English Thoroughbred horses. In addition to the traditional races, the space has a restaurant, occasional fairs and the Jockey Experience event, which offers rides for children and families. And even a nightclub, can you believe it? Find out everything the club has to offer below!

Jockey Experience
In partnership with ‘Família no Parque’ (Family in the Park), the Jockey Club of São Paulo brings the Jockey Experience, an event for the whole family. On Saturdays, from 10am to 4pm, the club opens its doors for an afternoon of leisure, racing and fun for all ages.
During the tour, visitors can watch the horse races, stroll around the stables, meet the animals up close, ride a little train and much more.
Note: in July this year, the club announced that the Jockey Experience was temporarily suspended. The new dates have not yet been announced, but you can keep an eye on the club’s social networks so as not to miss any updates.
How much does a ticket to the Jockey Club SP cost?

The Jockey Experience also has most of its attractions free of charge, such as a trampoline, inflatable toys and exhibitions. Only the little train is paid for, at R$35.
In addition, parking for visitors has a fixed price of R$25.
Is there a nightclub at the São Paulo Jockey Club?
The answer is: yes! One of the club‘s restaurants, Ferra, turns into a real nightclub.
The parties go until the early hours of the morning, with exclusive drinks, DJs and an incredible view of the club in the background. But be warned: although the club no longer has a dress code, the restaurant’s Instagram warns that the recommended attire there is casual/fine.
