Human – Mixed Reality Experience: a sci-fi immersion inspired by Carl Sagan
Have you ever thought about living an experience in augmented, virtual and interactive reality where you can travel through intergalactic space? This is what director Débora Bergamini proposes in ‘Human – Mixed Reality Experience’.
The super immersive piece is inspired by the work of renowned astronomer Carl Sagan, NASA’s Voyagers probes and the iconic Golden Record. The latter is a record sent into space to tell possible extraterrestrial life forms about the history of Earth and humanity.
From there, the experience invites participants on a journey that explores the trajectory of the Voyager I and II probes and the historical records of the Golden Record.
In addition, the work allows direct interaction with the content of the record, promoting reflection on our connection with the Earth and with the human species itself. In other words, the audience has the chance to explore hidden messages about humanity and touch an object that has been in space!
Finally, with an interactive and accessible experience in mind, the experience was developed with universal accessibility. As such, it includes resources such as LIBRAS, audio description, descriptive subtitles and versions in Portuguese and English.
