For years, Hebe Camargo’s Mansion was a symbol of Brazilian television and the luxurious lifestyle of São Paulo’s stars. With an area of more than 2,000 square meters, the mansion was the scene of memorable parties where the presenter hosted celebrities, politicians and artists, in one of São Paulo’s most valued districts. Get to know its history!
Hebe’s Mansion: from its heyday to its decline
It all began in 1970, when businessman Lélio Ravagnani built the property to live in with his wife, Hebe Camargo, in Morumbi. With a swimming pool, ballroom, works of art and luxurious architecture, the mansion became a real soap opera set, hosting celebrities for gala dinners and receptions.
Despite the name “Hebe’s Mansion”, the property belonged to the businessman, who died in 2000. After her death, the property fell into a legal dispute between the heirs which was aggravated by financial scandals involving the family. Without proper maintenance, all the luxury of the house was lost to abandonment, with overgrown gardens, cracks in the walls and broken furniture.
Hebe’s Mansion ended up going up for auction for R$8.6 million, but there were no takers. Despite further attempts to auction it off at lower prices, the property remained abandoned for years in Morumbi, with no takers.
Mansion to make way for luxury development
In the first half of 2025, however, the saga of Hebe’s Mansion finally came to an end. In May of this year, the property was demolished to make way for a luxury condominium, which has yet to open.
Not much is known yet about the million-dollar project that will replace the old Casa da Hebe. However, it is expected that the high-end development will honor the legacy of its former resident, with fine architecture and rooms full of glamour and sophistication.
