On Saturday, September 13, 2025, St. Peter’s Square will host “Grace for the World“, an unprecedented concert that unites international voices, diverse cultures and different generations through music.
The concert will be free to attend and broadcast live on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News Live. Given the magnitude of the event, the official order of the performances is still under wraps. But there are already clues: possible collaborations between artists who have already shared the stage, newly released songs and unforgettable classics.
Grace for the World: a soundtrack to unity
Pharrell Williams and Andrea Bocelli will be co-directors and executive producers of the concert, with renowned producer Adam Blackstone as musical director. Bocelli, for his part, has a long history of spiritual performances, having performed twice for Pope Francis in 2015, as well as for the newly elected Pope Leo XIV last summer. Pharrell, for his part, connects different musical worlds, bringing pop, gospel and production to the Vatican stage. This partnership reaches a wider audience and conveys the message of the event: love, fraternity and unity.
Global cast: from Karol G to John Legend, Bocelli and others
Colombian superstar Karol G is expected to give a moving performance of “Milagros”, a song about resilience and hope. Another highlight could be the recorded duet “Vivo por Ella” with Maestro Andrea Bocelli, featured on the 30th anniversary album Duets. Likewise, the Italian tenor can move the audience with “The Prayer” alongside the powerful Jennifer Hudson, another R&B and gospel legend who performed during Pope Francis‘ visit to the USA.
American artists bring even more power to the evening. John Legend ‘s repertoire includes emotional anthems like “All of Me” and “Church”, which speak of love and shared humanity, while Pharrell and Voices of Fire lift the mood with upbeat songs like “JOY (Unspeakable)” and “Miracle Worker“. Teddy Swims can also perform his hit “Lose Control.”
At the other end of the spectrum, BamBam will bring K-Pop style to the evening, with possible songs on her setlist such as the inspiring “Last Parade” and the reflective “riBBon“. French-Benin singer-songwriter Angélique Kidjo could also rock the stage with songs like “Agolo” and “We Are One” – anthems that blend African rhythms with powerful messages of unity and justice for all.
