The Pinacoteca de São Paulo opens this weekend an exhibition dedicated to a very special audience: the little ones. “For Children: Experiences with Art Since 1968” brings together works that speak directly to the world of children, inviting young visitors to play, draw, and turn their visit to the museum into a playful and participatory experience .
Although the main focus is on childhood, the exhibition is open to visitors of all ages. That’s why it’s the perfect opportunity for adults to revisit their own childhood memories on a journey that welcomes and brings the whole family together!

The concept behind “For Children: Experiences with Art Since 1968”
The central goal of the exhibition is to place childhood at the heart of the artistic experience and the museum itself. Instead of treating children as mere companions, the curators recognize them as active agents who think and engage with the world through art.
The exhibition features 11 interactive works by Brazilian and international artists. These are works created since the late 1960s specifically to engage with the world of children through games, questions, and stories.
This timeline invites us to reflect on what it means to be a child yesterday and today. Furthermore, the exhibition breaks with the traditional “look but don’t touch” model, creating an environment where the public can draw, build, occupy, and transform the space freely and collectively.
