‘How did I end up here?’: check out the new urban art exhibition in SP
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Sandro Akel is an exponent of national pop art. His works bear the marks of various elements, such as street art, drawing, wood and even paraffin.
In this exhibition, for example, the public will be able to see works produced using the encaustic technique, which uses wax and pigments together. Although it requires a lot of patience because it takes a long time, the artist explains that this meticulous technique brings history and depth to his pieces.
In addition, the artist also adds fragments of licks to the works, a typical street element that brings an even more urban feel to the works. In this way, ‘How did I end up here?’ reflects the chaos of the streets, in all its diversity of voices and elements.
Live performances and works for sale
To add to the experience, visitors will be able to enjoy an exclusive experience. The artist will give live performances of the encaustic technique, showing how wax and pigments come together to create personality in his works.
And if you like what you see and are thinking of renovating your decor, good news: the works will be on sale during the exhibition, with prices starting at R$5,000.
