Perhaps the Soho House is out of the question – or budget, rather – when it comes to going to places to connect with creative minds. But lucky for us, São Paulo is a multicultural and diverse city. So we present to you Central 1926, the house is called the embassy of culture and is a space where art, music and entertainment meet in a much more democratic and accessible way!
Get to know this cultural embassy:
The Central is located at Praça da Bandeira, 137 – Bela Vista, in a historic building where an electric substation of the Light company once operated and whether it’s electricity or culture, the place is still a super energetic spot in SP! Today, the embassy promotes various cultural experiences, such as events, concerts, parties and exhibitions.
To check out the rich program, just keep an eye on the Instagram of Central 1926.
The organization emerged in 2022 and has been fostering independent culture in the city ever since. As well as being an agent of cultural transformation, it is also a key player in the revitalization of downtown São Paulo.
Central 1926, an innovative music venue in the heart of SP!
As well as being a vibrant cultural center, this space is also involved in music production. The Central Studio and Central Records are two fronts of the organization, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. One curiosity is that some songs from Liniker’s latest album, ‘Caju’, were recorded there. You can see the quality of the studio’s music production.
This musical hub also supports emerging artists and cultural producers on the São Paulo scene. Thus, it is a point of support for the new independent faces that emerge here, enhancing their performance.
