The story behind Vinhais Castle
In the 1980s, amidst vineyards, a businessman of Portuguese descent decided to build a structure in honor of the land of his ancestors. Thus was born the Vinhedo Castle, an imposing 22,000-square-meter structure that has become an architectural landmark of the region.
The entire interior evokes medieval architecture, combining contemporary comfort with classic elements. That’s why , during your visit, you’ll encounter themed settings featuring exposed stone, towers, stained-glass windows, and period objects.
The outdoor area is a bucolic retreat featuring a chapel, gardens, lakes , and woodlands with preserved natural beauty. Additionally, the Mirante da Rainha offers a 360-degree view of the entire complex.

Years after its opening, the venue underwent a major renovation led by Grupo Imagem Eventos. The building was then transformed into a luxurious event complex that hosts weddings, corporate parties, and themed experiences. But you don’t have to plan a royal wedding to visit the castle in Vinhedo, you know?
The main tourist attraction is the Colonial Café at Castelo dos Vinhais. On weekends and holidays, the event offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with over 90 items, including breads, cakes, cornbread, cookies, cold cuts, fruits, and seasonal gourmet stations.
