This list is published by the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo, Cetesb, which collects and analyzes samples at 175 points along the coast and, in this way, tourists can preserve their health by avoiding beaches unfit for swimming which in São Paulo total almost 40 at the moment.

Praia do Tombo
Located on the south coast, Praia do Tombo passed the Cetesb test! So if you’re planning a trip to this destination, there’s no need to fear. The site was voted one of the most sustainable in the world and was awarded the ‘Blue Flag’ sustainability label for the 15th consecutive year, making it the only beach in São Paulo to receive the title in 2024.

Another incredible little beach with Cetesb approval! The highlight of this place is a beautiful waterfall facing the sea. It is also located in an environmental preservation area managed by the community itself, where sewage treatment and reforestation are taking place.
