Theatro Municipal de São Paulo
One of the largest opera houses in Brazil, Theatro Municipal is also one of the must-see places to watch ballet in São Paulo. This is because the luxurious building, influenced by the opera houses of Europe, is the stage for beautiful contemporary and classical performances, accompanied by the corps de ballet of the Balé da Cidade de São Paulo.
The Municipal Theater Complex also includes the Praça das Artes building, designed to house the Artistic Bodies and the São Paulo School of Dance and Municipal School of Music.

São Paulo Dance Reference Center
The Dance Reference Centre is a public space in the city, created to democratize access and strengthen the role of dance. For this reason, it is one of the places to watch different artistic manifestations and movements, including ballet.
There are also courses, workshops and a collection and rehearsal room, as well as shows open to the public. It’s worth including in your cultural itinerary of SP!

The Casa do Povo cultural center is also a transdisciplinary space in the city, which distinguishes itself by making the public an active participant, not just a spectator. São Paulo Dance Company
The ballet group in São Paulo is part of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy. As such, they give itinerant performances throughout the city. Directed by Inês Bogéa, the company was founded in 2008 and since then has blended the classical with the modern, bringing the art of dance to the people of São Paulo.
