Municipal Theater of São Paulo
One of the largest opera houses in Brazil, Theatro Municipal is also one of the must-see places to watch ballet in São Paulo. This is because the luxurious building, influenced by the opera houses of Europe, is the stage for beautiful contemporary and classical performances, accompanied by the corps de ballet of the Balé da Cidade de São Paulo.
In addition, the Municipal Theater Complex also includes the Praça das Artes building, designed to be the headquarters of the Artistic Bodies and the São Paulo School of Dance and Municipal School of Music.

Theatro São Pedro
The São Pedro Theater is also a traditional cultural venue in São Paulo, with over 100 years of existence. It’s even the second oldest theater in the city, with an eclectic style and art nouveau details.
Because of its atmosphere, the Theatro São Pedro is great for more intimate shows, such as the Candlelight concerts. In October, the tip is to secure a ticket for the Candlelight Ballet: The Best of Tchaikovsky which will be even more illuminated by this presentation in a sea of candles.

São Paulo Dance Reference Center
The Dance Reference Centre is a public space in the city, created to democratize access and strengthen the role of dance. That’s why it’s one of the places to watch different artistic events and movements, including ballet.
There are also courses, workshops and a collection and rehearsal room, as well as shows open to the public. It’s worth including in your SP cultural itinerary!
