If you’ve always dreamed of learning more about space and understanding how life beyond Earth works, the Astronauts’ Universe exhibition is the perfect tour. The exhibition brings together history, technology and curiosities that will make any visitor feel a little closer to the stars.
More than just looking at rare objects, this experience invites the public to immerse themselves in the universe of space missions, understanding how our scientific advances have taken us so far. It’s a real journey through time and the cosmos, all without leaving São Paulo.

What to expect from Universe of Astronauts?
The exhibition occupies 300 m² in the Astronomy area of the Catavento Museum and is divided into three different environments: Immersion Rooms, Sky and Space and Apollo and the Moon. Each one presents discoveries, challenges and remarkable moments in space travel.
In all, there are around 100 original items and 60 photos taken directly from space, revealing impressive details of the missions. One of the highlights is the training suit of Charles Duke, astronaut on the Apollo 16 mission and the 10th person to set foot on the Moon, specially loaned by NASA.
The exhibition also features a replica of Santos Dumont’s hat that traveled to the International Space Station, as well as real objects used on missions, such as cameras, tools and food utensils. There is also an area dedicated to the Centenary Mission of Brazilian astronaut Marcos Pontes and various technological resources: immersive projections, touchscreens and audiovisual experiences that make the tour even more immersive.
