Take a technological dive through the sun in ‘ÆTERNAL LIGHT – Essay on the Sun’
Five immersive works make use of light and technology to explore the poetics of the sun, in an interactive way that allows the public to become part of the experience.
Curated by Antonio Curti, the works explore the importance and influence of the sun through new media and digital art. So get ready for an artistic, technological and even philosophical dive into the solar world, exploring the vital role this star plays in our lives.
Works show the power of digital art in Brazil
A total of five Brazilian artists were invited to exhibit in ‘LUZ ÆTERNA – Ensaio Sobre o Sol’. Together, they draw up a panorama of the main star of the Solar System, each from their own point of view. They always use an accessible and democratic language, which means you don’t need to understand art to admire the works.
Among the works is ‘Genesis’, by the AYA studio. In a playful and sensory way, it shows how the sun shapes the universe and impacts our daily lives. Leandro Mendes’ ‘Photosphere’ is an audiovisual installation that explores the dynamics of the solar photosphere, using elements from biology and astrophysics.
