São Paulo residents will soon be able to enjoy this festival that brings the essence of Bahia to Avenida Paulista. More than just a gastronomic experience, it will be an opportunity to immerse themselves in Afro-Brazilian culinary traditions, especially those of Bahia.
Six baianas will be present, masters of preparing the traditional Bahian acarajé, with fried fava bean paste, caruru, vatapá, vinaigrette and shrimp. In addition, the public will be able to check out other Bahian flavors, such as acarajé no prato, bobó de camarão, galinhada, baião de dois and much more. There will also be crepe and hamburger options.
To sweeten the party, the most traditional flavor is cocada baiana. But you can also indulge in strawberry coxinhas, puddings, meringue or rabanadas, if you prefer.
Festival takes place next to Mercado Místico
On the same weekend, Club Homs is hosting another edition of the traditional Mystic Market. More than 110 exhibitors will be present with “magical” products such as brooms, crystals, tarot decks and witches’ hats.
Admission will also be free, and in addition to the products, the Market will feature presentations, talks, shamanic cleansing and even New Year’s forecasts. In other words, it’s your chance to check out two incredible events in one place!
