Trazer obras que reflitam a estética, os saberes e as tecnologias das periferias através de esculturas de pequenas casas e fotografias. Essa é a proposta da exposição ‘Quebradinha: escrevendo o hoje para que o amanhã não fique sem ontem’, do artista plástico Marcelino Melo, também conhecido como Nenê.
A exposição está aberta para visitação no Sesc Itaquera até o dia 15 de dezembro, de quarta a domingo, das 9h às 17h. A entrada é gratuita.
Exposição Quebradinha
O projeto Quebradinha começou em 2019, a partir das pesquisas do artista na Zona Sul de São Paulo, onde mora. Logo mais ele se estendeu por outras periferias, onde encontrou similaridades nas construções.
Ao observar a periferia de cima, através de fotografias com drones, Nenê percebeu elementos que se repetem e caracterizam as construções da região.
As obras demoram em média quatro meses para ficarem prontas, e trazem identificação imediata aos que moram ou já frequentaram as periferias da cidade. Elas também refletem o diálogo entre fotografia e artes plásticas, uma vez que partem da observação área, e culminam na construção das casinhas.
Cada miniatura construída tem também o objetivo de ser um registro histórico do viver nas favelas e comunidades, com seus modos de fazer e suas características próprias. Nas palavras do artista, “território, memória e afetividade: esses três são os eixos principais da pesquisa inteira, do que é a Quebradinha.”
Nascido no interior de Sergipe, Marcelino Melo também é conhecido como Nenê no bairro do Campo Limpo, onde mora há mais de quinze anos. Constrói esculturas de pequenas casas com materiais recicláveis, como papelão, garrafas PET, tampinhas e MDF, ilustrando a vida na periferia da cidade.
