Premiere of “Gal, the Musical”

The show celebrates Gal Costa’s career, from her childhood in Salvador to her status as the muse of Tropicália and a feminist icon. With great hits such as “Vapor Barato” and “Força Estranha, “ the set design is inspired by Hélio Oiticica to narrate intimate and artistic moments in the singer’s life, including her relationship with big names such as Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil.

Narrated by actor Terry Crews, this virtual reality adventure takes you to the heart of the Inca Empire without leaving São Paulo. With LiDAR technology and images captured by drones, visitors explore the Temple of the Sun and the Andean terraces in an impeccable digital reconstruction, allowing them to connect with the mysteries of one of the wonders of the modern world.

2nd Music and Film Festival

Theatro São Pedro promotes a fascinating encounter between the seventh art and classical music, screening classics such as “Nosferatu” and “Sinfonia Amazônica” with a soundtrack performed live by the Theatro São Pedro Orchestra. It is an opportunity to experience silent cinema and contemporary works with the power of a full orchestra!
Pedro Almodóvar Retrospective

The partnership between the Spanish Embassy and the Cervantes Institute brings a selection of 20 titles by award-winning Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. The retrospective will feature 35mm screenings of The Law of Desire, High Heels, and Kika; and outdoor screenings of The Room Next Door, The Skin I Live In, Talk to Her, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, All About My Mother, Volver, and Bad Habits.

The poet lives on! The exhibition “Cazuza Exagerado” invites the public to immerse themselves in the career of one of the greatest icons of Brazilian music through eleven interactive rooms. Curated by Lucinha Araújo, the artist’s mother, the experience displays everything from manuscripts and personal objects to iconic clothing, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the album “Exagerado” in a journey that spans from childhood to fame in Barão Vermelho.

In March, São Paulo welcomes one of Brazil’s most famous bands. Roupa Nova takes the stage on two different dates with performances full of emotion and nostalgia, singing “Whisky a Go Go,” “Seguindo no Trem Azul,” and other classics.

São Paulo International Theater Festival

In March, São Paulo hosts the 11th São Paulo International Theater Festival (MITsp). Its program is free and diverse, with international shows, national premieres, and educational activities. The event includes more than 60 attractions, such as plays by renowned artists, debates, and workshops, in various cultural spaces throughout the city.
Literature and Opera: Death in Venice

This event celebrates the 50th anniversary of Benjamin Britten’s death and the launch of the new translation of Thomas Mann’s work. The evening features literary discussions led by experts and musical interludes on piano and vocals, exploring the connections between the novel and its adaptation for the stage.

How about improving your everyday vision next month? In March, São Paulo will host a special course for those who want to take photos with the convenience of their own cell phone. The classes focus on lighting, composition, and editing techniques exclusively for smartphones. The course covers everything from the use of accessories and lenses to mastering post-production apps, transforming travel and social media photos into professional and creative records.

March is your last chance to visit this unprecedented Titanic experience! The experience transports visitors inside the “unsinkable ship” through 3D projections, life-size recreations, and more than 150 historical artifacts. You can walk through luxurious rooms, feel the thrill of being in a lifeboat, and even take a virtual dive 4 kilometers deep to explore the original wreckage at the bottom of the ocean.

The Arcanjo Award-winning show features Mouhamed Harfouch in a sensitive solo performance that mixes live music, humor, and biographical memories. The play reflects on identity and the actor’s Arab and Portuguese roots, starting from a personal journey to reach universal questions about belonging.
Medea after the Sun

This reinterpretation of the Greek myth of Medea brings the narrative to the Latin American context, addressing themes such as gender violence, ecofeminism, and colonization. Starring Luciana Lyra, the play uses poetic-political theater to give voice to women’s uprising and resistance.
Cinema do Praça

Throughout March, the PlayArte unit at Shopping Praça da Moça is offering the “Half Price for Everyone” promotion from Monday to Thursday. It’s the perfect opportunity to check out major releases such as Panic 7 and the Pixar animation Cara de Um, Focinho do Outro at reduced prices, including in theaters with PlayExtreme immersive sound technology.
Thursday: Samba with Casuarina

The Rio de Janeiro group Casuarina lands on the rooftop of Pirajá Faria Lima to inaugurate the “5ª Tem Samba” project. With a repertoire full of classics of the genre, the event promises to transform São Paulo’s happy hour into a Rio de Janeiro samba circle, with plenty of cold draft beer and bar food.
Africa in the State of Cinema

The exhibition at MIS presents 24 productions from different regions of the African continent. The selection mixes fiction and documentaries that explore themes such as resistance, identity, and female protagonism, inviting the viewer to discover a vibrant cinematography that rarely reaches us.
Music and Meditation in the Dark

Os Trovadores Urbanos offer a sensory experience that combines the relaxation of meditation with the emotion of music. In a completely dark environment, the audience disconnects from the outside world to focus on listening and feeling, bringing back fond memories through melodies performed by the group.
Cocoa – From Drink to Chocolate

The event explores the history of cocoa, from its ritual consumption by indigenous peoples to modern forms of chocolate. The event will feature a tasting with commentary by a chocolatier, exploring the cultural and social layers of this fruit that spans centuries of Brazilian history.
Gosto SA Fair – Artisanal Flavors

Nicknamed “Gostosa” (Hot), the fair brings together more than 60 exhibitors who celebrate “real food” and small Brazilian producers. Visitors will find cheeses, sausages, breads, and handmade sweets, as well as enjoy culinary workshops and an animal adoption fair in a family-friendly and pet-friendly environment. Perfect for enjoying São Paulo in March!
Partículas Acesas

The musical collective led by Peu Meurray and Aline Marco is holding the launch show for its first original album at the Vila Itororó Cultural Center. With a sound that combines the power of Bahian percussion with contemporary pop, the performance celebrates art as a tool for transformation and affection.
14th Tiradentes Exhibition | SP

The prestigious Minas Gerais festival arrives in São Paulo in March, bringing28 unreleased films. With the theme “Imaginative Sovereignty, “ the program includes debates with directors and screenings of short and feature films that represent the most innovative in contemporary Brazilian cinema in 2026. Free tickets are available 1 hour before the screening.
Toy Story Arena

Children can venture into the universe of Woody and Buzz Lightyear in an interactive arena with challenges inspired by Pixar movies! The experience includes activities such as “The Claw,” ring toss, and digital games, as well as an exclusive pre-show and spaces for family photos. The experience is recommended for children ages 4 to 12, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Story Time at Pátio Paulista

In partnership with Livraria da Vila, the mall promotes storytelling sessions based on children’s literature classics, such as “Elmer, the Patchwork Elephant.” It is a playful activity that uses interpretation and monitoring by Cia Só Papo to encourage the habit of reading from an early age in children.
Free admission, with tickets available through the “Iguatemi One” app. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Carnafolk – 10 Years

In March, São Paulo’s first medieval carnival celebrates a decade with a large themed fair! The event brings together folk music shows, mead, traditional dances, and invites the public to wear Viking, elf, or knight costumes for a complete immersion in medieval fantasy culture.

Todas Festival – The Stage is Theirs

The festival will be a celebration of female protagonism in music, with shows by Larissa Luz, Mariana Aydar, and new talents. In addition to the musical program at Praça da Sombra, the festival offers a creative fair for entrepreneurs, a gastronomic space, and a campaign to collect sanitary pads to combat menstrual poverty.

Street Party – Arsenal da Esperança
Celebrating 30 years of social impact in Mooca, Arsenal da Esperança is hosting a party open to the public with typical Italian cuisine and artistic performances. It is an opportunity to learn about the work of this institution, which welcomes 1,200 men in vulnerable situations every day, and to celebrate three decades of solidarity in São Paulo.
Exhibition “The Best of the Oscars 2026”

The City of São Paulo is promoting a special exhibition featuring films nominated for the highest award in cinema. Among the highlights is the Brazilian film “O Agente Secreto”(The Secret Agent) by Kleber Mendonça Filho, as well as acclaimed international productions, allowing the public to binge-watch their favorites for free.
Although the sessions are free, you must plan to pick up your tickets 1 hour before the session.
Impermanence at DW!

Occupying historic townhouses in Pinheiros, this independent exhibition brings together 63 artists and designers during Design Week. With the theme “Nothing new under the sun, “ the show focuses on the creative and experimental process, also offering guided tours and musical performances by jazz musicians and DJs.
Mundo do Circo SP Program

In March, an intense program brings traditional companies such as Circo Moscou and Circo Marambio to Parque da Juventude. With shows that mix classic clowns and jugglers with contemporary technologies, the space offers guaranteed fun for families with children of all ages.
