Anyone strolling through Beco do Batman has likely already caught the irresistible aroma wafting from the kitchen at Coringa do Beco. Located in one of São Paulo’s most famous tourist spots, the burger joint has been gaining recognition both within and beyond Vila Madalena.
In 2024 and 2025, it was voted Best Burger Joint by the UOL Nossa Bars & Restaurants Awards and also made it into the Top 3 of last year’s Veja Comer & Beber. The best part? You can try some of the award-winning burgers starting at R$ 29.
The award-winning burger joint that has become a must-visit spot in Beco do Batman
The story of Coringa do Beco began during the pandemic, with a simple idea: to create quality burgers made “by friends for friends.” The project grew, won over loyal customers, and today is one of the most sought-after dining spots in Vila Madalena.
Located just a few steps from Beco do Batman, the spot takes advantage of the artistic and laid-back atmosphere to attract both locals and tourists looking for a good burger after exploring the famous graffiti murals.
Plus, the value for money is a standout in the area. After all, in São Paulo’s nightlife hotspot, it’s hard to find places to eat on a budget. But here, the classic smash burger with cheese costs just R$ 29!
What we tried at Coringa do Beco
We went to try some of the most popular dishes on the menu, and we left understanding the reasons behind the awards.
The experience began with the Arancini (R$ 38), one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. The fried risotto balls stuffed with prato cheese are served with truffle mayonnaise. It’s the kind of appetizer that easily steals the show.
Among the burgers, the standout is the classic Bacon Burger (R$ 52), made with brioche bun, a blend of premium meats, English cheddar, two layers of crispy bacon, artisanal pickles, and house-made mayonnaise. A no-frills recipe, but executed to perfection.
For those looking for value, the Big Smash (R$ 35) is an excellent surprise. The sandwich features two pressed patties, house-made American cheese, lettuce, special sauce, pickled onions, and artisanal pickles. Tasty, juicy, and competitively priced for the area.
Finally, be sure to save room for the Fudgy Brownie (R$ 20). Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it features a moist, intensely chocolatey batter—perfect for chocoholics.
