Casa do Saulo offers an immersion in Pará culture
Originally from Santarém in Pará, Saulo Jennings brought the spirit of the Tapajós region to São Paulo.
Since opening Casa do Saulo, the place has quickly become a reference point for Pará cuisine in the city. It has been so successful that the restaurant has been voted four times as the best restaurant in the North by the P Prazeres da Mesa Award.
Known as “Caboco do Tapajós”, Saulo began his culinary journey at the age of 15 and has since grown to the point where he is now responsible for another five ‘Casas do Saulo’, between Santarém, Belém, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. However, he has always preserved the sustainable use of regional ingredients such as freshwater fish and fruits typical of the state.
Now, the renowned restaurant has added ‘Carimbó Nights’ to its list of events, offering an authentic Tapajonic experience in São Paulo. As well as live music and traditional dancing, the menu is full of typical dishes such as tacacá, bolinho de piracuí, arroz de pato, peixe assado and much more.
