From March 13 to 23, the 10th edition of the São Paulo International Theatre Festival ( MITsp) will be in the capital with a free program that is not to be missed. The schedule features international productions, national shows and premieres.
In addition, the event offers a wide range of workshops, debates and talks throughout the ten days of activities. The opening for the general public takes place at Itaú Cultural, on the 14th, at 6pm, with the debate ‘Art as a meeting place’.

The São Paulo International Theatre Festival is divided into five tracks: International Shows, MITbr Plataforma Brasil, National Premieres, Pedagogical Actions and Critical Looks. With more than 60 shows and activities, there you’ll find:
International shows and performances:
- The Secret Life of Old People – Mohamed El Khatib
- Vagabundus – Idio Chichava
- Dambudzo – Nora Chipaumire
- Seagull – Guillermo Cacace
- Acontinua – an obituary, a manual for a life lived chasing LIFE – Nora Chipaumire
As well as the premiere of Requiem SP on the 20th at 8pm at the Municipal Theater. Ten days of pure immersion in the theatrical universe.

To check out the theatrical shows and other MITsp events, it’s essential to secure your ticket in advance at some of the capital’s venues. Check out the dates and venues:
- 24/02, from 08h: SESI-SP – distribution of tickets for the activities taking place there;
- 25/02, from 5pm: Distribution of tickets for the programs taking place at the Sesc units, CCSP, municipal theaters and Teatro B32;
- 18/03, from 12 noon: Itaú Cultural – distribution of tickets for the activities taking place there;
In other words, each institution is responsible for distributing tickets according to the respective activities taking place there.
