Christmas is here and, with it, a moment of solidarity gains strength in our hearts. If you’re thinking of doing a good deed, you could consider fulfilling the dream of a child who wrote a letter to Santa Claus at the Post Office. How? It’s very simple and we’ll explain it to you step by step.
Over the last few months, children enrolled between the 1st and 5th year of elementary school in public schools and socially vulnerable children up to the age of 10 have been able to write their requests to Santa Claus. Now it’s time to make them come true!
Become a Post Office Santa Claus!
Every year, the Post Office selects a few letters from around Brazil so that these children can have their dreams come true. Sometimes it’s a doll, school supplies, clothes or a bicycle. There are thousands of requests, each one unique and the coolest thing is that you can choose the letter according to the request.
This way, no matter how much money you have to invest in charity, you’re sure to find a card that suits your budget. At the end of the day, what matters is helping the child, who is often in a vulnerable situation.
How do I adopt a letter for Santa?
You can adopt a letter and make a child’s Christmas even more special in two ways: by going in person to a post office or via the official Post Office website. This way, you can access the “Online Adoption” area and select the letter according to the city of your choice.
In all, more than 300,000 letters were received by the Brazilian institution, 28,000 of them from São Paulo alone. Among the items most requested by children are: balls, dolls, strollers, backpacks, school supplies, make-up kits and plush toys.
Not only children take part in the action, but people with disabilities of any age can join in the fun and have their dreams come true. To take part, visit the official Correios website by clicking here and make your Christmas even more charitable.
