Brazil’s largest electronics outlet is in São Paulo and offers a shopping dynamic so different and fun that it’s more like a Big Brother competition! Galpão da Reversa has three units in the state and offers products from the country’s most important e-commerces in super mysterious packaging.
The company claims that the items come from a reverse logistics system. In other words, products returned for various reasons are sent to this business model and given a second chance by “blind buying” enthusiasts. On social media, Galpão da Reversa guarantees that it is possible to find everything from expensive electronics to general“junk”. It all depends on luck!
How does Galpão da Reversa work?
In this outlet, visitors have the chance to pick up products from major e-commerces such as Mercado Livre, Shein, Amazon and Aliexpress. The brand’s promise is that, with a bit of luck, it’s possible to find everything from clothes and accessories to electronics such as iPhones, MacBooks and much more – all amidst a veritable sea of mysterious packages.
The dynamic is simple and quick: each participant has 5 minutes to choose as many surprise packages as they want within the designated area. As soon as the siren sounds, it’s time to go to the cashier and pay R$50 per package.
The packages are black and malleable, so it’s worth squeezing and shaking them to try and guess what’s inside (you’re just not allowed to open them before you buy). And to guarantee customers’ peace of mind, the products purchased come with a 90-day guarantee, with the possibility of exchanging or returning damaged items directly at the service desk at Galpão da Reversa.
