If you’re thinking of getting away from the hustle and bustle of Carnival this year, the tip of the day is to visit the Cabreúva Reserve. Just 70 kilometers from the capital, the park has free admission, is pet-friendly and offers a range of outdoor activities for the whole family!
You can practice water sports, for example, or interact with the cute animals that live there. You can also go hiking, visit a museum about local history and even meditate! So if you want peace and quiet this holiday season, you’ve found the right destination!
Get to know the Cabreúva Reserve Park
Reserva Cabreúva is one of those nature refuges that we find in the metropolitan region, very close to São Paulo. The park is about an hour’s drive from the capital and offers almost 400,000 square meters of outdoor activities.
Among the attractions is the Nivaldo Pereira Salles Museum, with a historical collection of antique objects such as spoons from all over the world and lead soldiers. In addition, at the Indigenous Reserve, you can learn more about the culture and typical activities of Brazil’s native peoples. There is also a playground available for children.
Pedal boats and stand-up paddle boards take the fun to the water, while hikers can walk through nature for a breath of fresh air. And finally, when it’s time to relax, the tip is to meet the animals from the local nurseries or take part in the free meditation sessions!
How to find out?
The Cabreúva Reserve is located on Estrada dos Romeiros, Km 66, in Cabreúva. The park is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 08:00 to 17:30. But because of the holiday, next week it will also be open on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, the 3rd and 4th!
No reservations are necessary, just arrive and enjoy. Admission is free, and meditation sessions, the playground, and visits to the museum and nurseries are also free. Other activities can be paid for.
For those going by car, local parking is also free. The park has restaurants and snack bars, with food and drinks paid for separately. How about planning your visit to relax this holiday season?
