The 60+ Tourism Program aims to organize trips of up to four days to the interior and coast of São Paulo, with complete itineraries and infrastructure designed especially for seniors. This way, groups can enjoy the destination with peace of mind, since the program and the partner municipalities will be responsible for organizing the trip.
For the time being, the São Paulo government has already announced tours in coastal cities such as Praia Grande, Mongaguá and Ubatuba, as well as in inland municipalities such as Águas de Lindóia, Serra Negra and Aparecida. In other words, the over-60s will be able to go to the beach or visit museums, parks and churches all over the state – without putting a strain on their pockets.
How do I sign up for free travel for the elderly?
As of January 2026, São Paulo city halls will be able to request trips on a platform that has not yet been released by the São Paulo Department of Tourism and Travel. Accommodation, meals, travel insurance and tours are part of the package, while transportation costs are the responsibility of the requesting municipality.
