Find out all about Primavera Sound!
According to the producers, Primavera Sound is a festival designed for São Paulo and with São Paulo. This is because its main objective is to connect people and strengthen the local scene through music. That’s why the experience goes beyond the two days of concerts: the Primavera na Cidade project organizes performances in local cultural venues, theaters and bars.
Primavera Sound was born in Spain and has been present in Brazil since its first edition in São Paulo in 2022 . Since then, it has brought big international names such as Arctic Monkeys, Björk, Lorde, Travis Scott and The Killers. In addition, Brazilian artists such as Marina Sena, Liniker and Marisa Monte have also performed at previous editions.
Although the line-up for 2026 has not yet been announced, the promise is to repeat the formula of success, with great foreign icons and national talents.

Why was the festival canceled in 2024?
The news of Primavera Sound 2024 ‘s cancellation took the public by surprise. Ticket sales were already in full swing when, just three months before the scheduled date, the organization suspended all Latin American editions – including São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Asunción and Montevideo.
According to the official statement, the “circumstances of the time” made it impossible to maintain the event’s quality standards. The producers said that challenges in the entertainment sector affected logistics and production costs, leading to the sudden cancellation. The decision, although frustrating at the time, preserved the festival’s identity and allowed for an even better return in 2026.
