The party will take place in Largo do Arouche, from 12 noon to 8pm (Saturday) and from 10am to 6pm (Sunday). Check out the attractions waiting for you below:
What can you expect from Portugal Fest?
Tradition and modernity go hand in hand at this festival, which brings the best of Portugal to the República neighborhood.
Among the food, you can expect the most delicious delicacies from the country’s gastronomy. This includes dishes with sardines, cheeses, sausages and, of course, lots of cod! For dessert, the famous pastéis de nata are the highlight.
On the cultural side, the typical songs will make the audience feel like they’re on a trip through Lisbon. Firstly on Saturday, when fado shows and the Lusitano Folkloric Group add a very typical touch to the line-up of performances. And then on Sunday, with more fado, toccata and Portuguese guitar performances. The public can also enjoy free dance workshops.
In addition, the handicraft fair brings together author brands for those who like to support independent commerce. Those wishing to apply for Portuguese citizenship or immigrate to Portugal will be able to take advantage of the stands offering information and legal advice on the process.
