One of São Paulo’s favorite programs is, of course, strolling through the São Paulo’s shopping malls. Especially in summer, when the high temperatures call for a stroll in the air conditioning! With the arrival of New Year’s Eve, however, many establishments in São Paulo operate special hours, and residents wonder if the malls are open on New Year’s Eve.
That’s why we’ve put together a guide to the shopping center opening hours this New Year’s Eve. Enjoy!

Which malls are open on New Year’s Eve?
Most of São Paulo’s shopping malls operate with special opening hours on December 31st. Check out the main ones:
- Eldorado, Center Norte, Vila Olímpia, Anália Franco and Iguatemi Alphaville malls: 10am to 4pm (stores), 11am to 4pm (leisure and food).
- Shopping centers Butantã, Interlagos, Tucuruvi, Iguatemi São Paulo, Pátio Higienópolis, JK Iguatemi, Tietê Plaza, SP Market, Villa-Lobos, Ibirapuera , MorumbiShopping, Cantareira Norte Shopping, Mooca Plaza: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Shopping Bourbon: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Shopping Frei Caneca: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Shopping West Plaza: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Penha, TriMais Places, Aricanduva, Metrô Tatuapé, Boulevard Tatuapé and Metrô Itaquera shopping centers: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Shopping Cidade São Paulo will be closed on the 31st due to the São Silvestre Race and New Year’s Eve at Paulista 2026.

Shopping centers open on New Year’s Eve in São Paulo
The TriMais Places and SP Market malls will be closed on January 1st. Other establishments will operate on an optional basis – in other words, each store or restaurant can decide whether to open or not:
- Santa Cruz, Cidade São Paulo and Jardim Sul malls: stores closed; food court optional
- Center Norte, Tietê Plaza, Cantareira Norte Shopping, Mooca Plaza Shopping and Anália Franco malls: stores and food courts open on an optional basis.
