The show ‘LIVE – Inside someone’s head’, featuring Renata Sorrah – our eternal Nazaré Tedesco – in the lead role, is currently showing. The plot is inspired by Anton Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’ and takes the audience on a deep dive into the mind of an artist. Directed by Marcio Abreu, the show continues at the FIESP Cultural Center until December 1st. Admission is free. Don’t miss it!
Find out all about ‘LIVE – Inside someone’s head’
Inspired by the Russian classic, the show brings the questions of that era into the present day in a modern and engaging way. Instead of the writer Trepliov, for example, we have a female figure – an artist – in the lead role. From there, the audience will be transported into the character’s mind, her memories and reflections on art. As well as her desire for freedom in a world that is (still) very macho and ageist.
Photo: DisclosureThe construction of the character is the result of the combination of all the women who created this work, including Sorrah, who took part in an adaptation of ‘The Seagull’ in the 1970s. When she takes to the stage years later, the actress will revisit various characters from her life and her art, retracing her life so far.
According to the director, all this comes together in a play whose aim is to reflect on the fact that we are alive here and now. It revisits our experiences so far and brings together several distant times in a single present.
The show is available at the SESI São Paulo Theater at the FIESP Cultural Center (Avenida Paulista, 1313 – Bela Vista). It is available from Thursday to Sunday at 8pm, with free admission. All you have to do is pick up your ticket free of charge at the website.
