In addition, Lavrinhas was one of the cities where the 1932 Revolution took place and still has remnants of that historic battle. The town that would later become Lavrinhas was born around the 1870s, with the construction of a railway station on the site. At that time, the Paraíba Valley was experiencing the height of the coffee cycle, which brought prosperity and investment to the region.
Although the golden days of the coffee plantations have passed, the town still retains the heritage of that time. The Old Railway Station, for example, takes us directly back to that time, as does the century-old São Francisco de Paula Church.
As we mentioned earlier, Lavrinha was also the scene of the 1932 Revolution. At that time, São Paulo soldiers built trenches in the region to fight federal troops.
