The year is barely half over, but we’re already thinking about the vacations and holidays we’ll enjoy in 2026! If you too can’t wait for a break, here are the best dates to combine your vacations with vacations and make the most of your time off next year.
Enjoy the holidays: the best dates to take a vacation in 2026
April
If you work a 5×2 schedule in a company that has public holidays, the best tip is to schedule your vacation between April 6 and 17. That way, your time off starts on Good Friday (April 3) and ends only on Tiradentes (April 21, Tuesday), maximizing your days off!
May
We workers deserve a day off. To our delight, in 2026 the Labor Day holiday will fall on a Friday (May 1). So if you schedule your vacation for May 4 (Monday), you’ll get 3 extra days off!
September
Beloved country, Brazil! Independence Day (September 7) falls on a Monday. So you can schedule your vacation for up to September 4 (Friday) or from September 8 (Tuesday), combining the day off with a long weekend.

October
Another long weekend: in 2026, the Our Lady of Aparecida holiday (October 12) will fall on a Monday. So you can take your vacation until October 9 (Friday) or from October 13 (Tuesday), if you want to take advantage of the amendment.
November
For those who want to rest at the end of the year, November will be a good option. This is because the All Souls holiday falls on a Monday (November 2), while Black Consciousness falls on a Friday (November 20). As a result, anyone who asks for a vacation between November 3 and 19 will have 6 days off in addition to the one agreed with their employer.
December
In 2026, the Christmas holiday will fall on a Friday (December 25). So you can ask for vacation from December 28 (Monday) and not return to work until 2027!
