From now on, anyone passing through Faria Lima can catch a glimpse of the rainforest. This is because a new building on the avenue has innovated by placing green areas on its floors, creating a beautiful garden on the heights in the heart of São Paulo.
The building in question is Bosco Corporate, on the corner of Brigadeiro Faria Lima and Horácio Lafer avenues. Each of its 16 floors has forests attached to it, bringing together around 22,000 different plants. The project is by aflalo/gasperini architects and is an example of bioarchitecture, which brings more sustainable buildings with a focus on the well-being of users. After all, there’s nothing better than having a breath of Atlantic Forest right next to your office!
Below, you’ll find other buildings in São Paulo that use this style.
Garden in the heights: other bioarchitecture projects in SP
Atlantic Forest Tower
The Atlantic Forest Tower is located in Cidade Matarazzo and features hanging gardens with almost 150 trees typical of the biome that gives it its name. The idea is that, as the plants grow, they will take over a large part of the building’s walls.
The project is by French architect Jean Nouvel, who also designed important buildings in Paris, such as the Institut du Monde Arabe, and is home to the Rosewood São Paulo hotel.

Parque da Cidade Shopping Center
The name “City Park” is no coincidence. In addition to hundreds of stores, the shopping center has a community garden on its roof, which produces various types of organic and healthy leaves. After harvesting, many of them go to a market in the mall itself, to be enjoyed by the locals.
In addition, the green roof helps to freshen the air inside the mall, protects against high temperatures and helps to combat pollution.
