Who gives the most? If you’ve always been curious about taking part in a Receita Federal auction, now is the time! The next bidding event takes place on January 30th. But bidding starts much earlier: between January 23 and 27, the auctioned items can already be disputed via e-CAC!
This auction is an opportunity to acquire seized or abandoned goods at attractive prices. Check out the items in the available lots:
- Electronics: notebooks, smartphones, cameras;
- Industrial equipment and tools;
- Parts and pieces for racing vehicles;
- Automobiles: cars and trucks;
- Diamonds, watches and jewelry;
- Musical instruments;
- Sporting goods;
- Handbags.
How does the Receita Federal auction work?
If you’re interested in taking part in an auction, you’ll need to wait for the IRS to publish the notice of the next event. There, participants will find the rules, items to be auctioned, dates and places to visit (where applicable). This document is available on the Receita Federal website itself.
It is worth paying attention, as the products are grouped into lots and cannot be purchased separately. In addition, the entire bidding process takes place online, on the Electronic Auction System (SLE), located on the e-CAC portal. So, if you’ve always dreamed of going to an auction like the ones in the movies, we can tell you that the IRS auctions aren’t that glamorous.
Then, between the days stated in the notice, participants can send in their value proposals and, if their bids are up to 10% below the highest offer, they move on to the live bidding phase. Finally, at this stage, the lot is sold to the highest bidder, when the auction takes place.
Remember that only individuals over the age of 18 (or emancipated) with an active CPF and legal entities regularly registered with the CNPJ, both with an account on the Gov.br portal with a Silver or Gold reliability level, can take part in Receita Federal auctions.
How to participate?
Taking part in the Receita Federal auction is very simple. If you fit the profile of people able to submit bids, simply access the e-CAC portal, log in using your Gov.br account, find the “Participate in an Electronic Auction” area in the side menu, find the current auction notice and check the available lots.
You will then submit your bid using the “Include Bid” option and, if approved for the live bidding session, you will have an even better chance of winning the lot. Finally, you will need to issue and pay a DARF (Documento de Arrecadação de Receitas Federais) and, once paid, you will have up to 30 days to collect the goods you have purchased.
Attention: to participate safely and avoid scams, make sure you are participating through the Receita Federal website itself and don’t make payments outside the official system. Also, be aware that products bought by individuals cannot be resold and are for personal use only.
