In January, the façade of the Conjunto Nacional receives large banners and becomes an open-air gallery to pay homage to the capital’s iconic neighborhoods. The action was created by 11 artists and celebrates the cultural diversity and history of São Paulo.

Caipiras: from felling to nostalgia
The exhibition promotes a reflection on caipira culture in Brazilian art, highlighting works by Almeida Júnior, such as ‘Caipira Picando Fumo’ (1893) and ‘Amolação Interrompida’ (1894). In all, it brings together around 70 works by 35 artists, dealing with the construction of the character and his relationship with the rural and urban environment of São Paulo.
