That’s why the Warm Clothing Campaign is so important. This year, the solidarity action is collecting blankets and winter clothes, as well as cash donations to buy new products. Find out how to help the SP Warm Clothing Campaign
Currently, it is estimated that almost 65,000 people live on the streets in São Paulo. This population, which already lives in an extremely vulnerable situation, suffers even more with the arrival of winter. This week, for example, temperatures are expected to drop to just 7°C.
Through the Warm Clothing Campaign, the São Paulo State Social Fund collects items that can help this vulnerable population. So far, more than 55,000 blankets have been collected, and almost R$1 . 4 million in Pix, the value of which will be used to buy new blankets.
What can I donate?
This year, the focus is on donations of blankets, warm clothes, gloves, socks, hats and scarves. Items must be in good condition, dirty or torn clothes will be discarded.
