The Easter season in São Paulo has turned into a veritable gastronomic laboratory, and our 2026 Easter egg tasting proved it. From unusual collaborations, Amazonian ingredients, Asian influences, and flavors ranging from pistachio to black sesame with soy sauce, we sampled new releases from some of the city’s most creativebakeries and chocolate shops.
The result? A selection of eggs that goes far beyond traditional chocolate. Below, we’ve gathered the highlights of the tasting so you can choose which one deserves a spot in your Easter celebration.
Mica + Patties — Choco Fries

Flavor: milk chocolate with hazelnut cream and potato chips
Opinion: I love chips, so it already scored points. The potato chips add crunch and end up being nicely camouflaged by the chocolate. The result is surprisingly delicious.
ARA Dessert Restaurant — Black Sesame

Flavor: white chocolate with black sesame, sesame ganache, soy sauce caramel, and ginger
Opinion: Very different from what you’d expect from an Easter egg. Perfect for those with a more sophisticated palate, who enjoy umami flavors and want to surprise.
Açucareiro da Nana — Garapa with Coffee

Flavor: 60% dark chocolate with sugarcane syrup jelly and specialty coffee ganache
Opinion: The coffee flavor comes through strongly but is well-balanced. Surprisingly good for coffee lovers.
Hanami Confeitaria — Sakura Egg

Flavor: dark chocolate with artisanal dulce de leche, a touch of soy sauce, and Japanese karinto
Opinion: Very well-filled, with dulce de leche perfectly balanced with the soy sauce. Elegant, not at all cloying, and delicious.
Biscoitê — Speculoos

Flavor: chocolate with speculoos cookie pieces, dulce de leche, and spices
Opinion: It resembles a honey cake shaped like an Easter egg. Delicious and quite sweet for those who prefer classic flavors.
Bacio di Latte — Crunchy Pistachio

Flavor: milk chocolate with a generous filling of crunchy pistachio
Opinion: Super stuffed and tasty. Perfect for pistachio lovers. A 10/10 from our team.
Hagi — Candied Orange

Flavor: 57% Amazonian chocolate with white chocolate cream and candied Bahia orange
Opinion: The orange flavor comes through strongly and makes the chocolate even more interesting. For those who like to step outside the box.
Dengo — Amazonian Cocoa Praline

Flavor: 70% chocolate with Brazilian nut praline, cupuaçu, and puff pastry
Opinion: Very crunchy and sophisticated. Not too sweet and has an almost liqueur-like touch
Flakes — Dubai Egg

Flavor: milk chocolate with pistachio cream, toasted kataifi, and California pistachios
Opinion: Unanimous reaction from the team: 10/10. Delicious, crunchy, and one of the tasting favorites.
The bakery is known for its giant sweets, and the 8-kg version costs R$ 5,000.
Mágio Chocolates — Passion Fruit

Flavor: milk chocolate with hazelnut praline and passion fruit caramel
Opinion: Very balanced and flavorful. The passion fruit adds just the right amount of acidity. It also comes with a beautiful Marajoara ceramic piece for decoration.
Dolci Pavè Pasticceria — Chocolate Pavé

Flavor: spoon egg filled with chocolate pavé
Opinion: A classic, nostalgic treat inside an Easter egg. A great gift option.
