The influence of Ariano Suassuna
The exhibition is inspired by the Armorial movement, originated by the famous writer of ‘Auto da Compadecida’, Ariano Suassuna. Created in Recife in 1970, this movement believes in erudite art with Brazilian roots and helped the Northeast to portray itself autonomously, with cordéis, for example.
