After his success with ‘Beetlejuice‘, Eduardo Sterblitch returns to the stage again for another adaptation of a cinematic classic. In 2025, the comedian will star in ‘An Almost Perfect Babysitter – The Musical’, which conquered generations and was adapted into a musical in 2021 on Broadway. Check out everything we know below!
‘An Almost Perfect Babysitter – The Musical’ will have impressive make-up and visage
Released in 1993, the iconic film features the iconic Mrs. Doubtfire, starring Robin Williams. At the time, the film won the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the actor’s astonishing transformation.
Bringing the show to Brazil requires a lot of care and precision, since the figure of the nanny must be the same in all the adaptations. To this end, the Brazilian make-up professionals went to London to train on how to reproduce the pattern on Eduardo Sterblitch.
It’s directed by Tadeu Aguiar, one of the great Brazilian directors of our time. In addition to Eduardo Sterblitch in the lead role, Thais Piza will appear on stage as his character’s ex-wife, Lara Suleiman, Bernardo Destri and Bibi Valverde as the couple’s children. The make-up designer will be Anderson Bueno.
The show opens on March 12, 2025, at the Teatro Liberdade (Rua São Joaquim, 129 – Liberdade). Tickets are available now on the official website, ranging from R$ 19.80 to R$ 380.

Daniel Hillard (Eduardo Sterblitch) is an unemployed actor who, after a troubled divorce, disguises himself as the lovely Mrs. Doubtfire to be closer to his children. This musical version will bring touching songs and heavyweight production, perfect for entertaining the whole family.
It will be Sterblitch’s second musical, having made his debut in the genre in the first half of this year with the hit ‘Beetlejuice’.
