Box office success, the show ‘Elis, A Musical’ is back on stage in São Paulo! The plot, which tells the story of this illustrious Brazilian music artist, has already been seen by more than 380,000 spectators and returns with a special edition after last year’s success .

Elis, A Musical: success on the stages of SP
After a successful season in 2023, ‘Elis, A Musical’ returns with new cast, costumes and set design. The musical promises to thrill spectators once again, recreating the most remarkable moments in the career and personal trajectory of the singer from Rio Grande do Sul.
The presentation will feature fifty musical pieces that became big hits in Elis Regina’s voice. The text is by Nelson Motta and Patrícia Andrade and the direction is by the renowned Dennis Carvalho. Meanwhile, the lead role goes to actresses Laila Garin and Lilian Menezes, who take turns playing the iconic singer from Rio Grande do Sul.
Among the awards the show has won, ‘Elis, A Musical’ was awarded Best Show by the Reverência Prize and Best Musical Direction by the Cesgranrio Prize. In addition, several awards, such as the Shell and Bibi Ferreira, have honored Laila Garin with the title of Best Actress.
The story behind
‘Elis, A Musical’ recounts the life and work of Elis Regina, recreating iconic moments from her career and performing more than 50 classics, such as Fascinação and O Bêbado e o Equilibrista.
In addition, the show covers key episodes in the artist’s life, from the start of her career, her troubled relationship with Ronaldo Bôscoli, recording with Tom Jobim, her marriage to César Camargo Mariano and motherhood.
