What to do in Analândia?
Analândia’s main square
The starting point is the charming little square of the Igreja Matriz de Sant’ Ana, a classic of country towns that cannot and should not be missed on a visit. There you’ll also find the town’s tourist office.
Hermes Restaurant
When the urge strikes, be sure to stop by Hermes. According to the Wale Couple:
In Analândia, there aren’t many restaurant options, since the big attraction is ecotourism (caves, quad bikes, trails…). However, the only restaurant open every day for lunch is Hermes, which offers home-cooked food for a fixed price.
Pousada Morada da Serra
Adventure days are busy in Analândia. That’s why the family chose the Pousada Morada da Serra to spend their nights and enjoy the incredible view of two of the region’s major tourist attractions in the mornings.
We stayed at Pousada Morada da Serra, which has the option of renting the main house or the loft, both of which offer a breathtaking view of Morro do Camelo and Cuscuzeiro!
Cova da Onça Cave
The first tour is an adventure full of history. The family shares their experience with us:
The Cova da Onça Cave was discovered by Juraci Albieri, one of the residents of Analândia and father of Calebe Albieri, a professional Ecotourism guide. This cave was visited and studied by researchers from USP, who discovered indigenous artifacts dating back more than 5000 years!
Indian Cave
In addition to the Cova da Onça Cave, there is more to discover in Analândia. Another tourist attraction visited by the Wales was the Indian Cave, another historical site that marks Brazil’s indigenous past.
With cave inscriptions dating back 5000 – 7500 years and spectacular views. For this trail, it is essential to contact the guide Caleb for an unforgettable experience.
Jequitibá Rosa Trail
The familyAlbieri makes a big contribution to tourism in the town. As well as the Cova da Onça Cave, the guide’s father also discovered a great Jequitibá Rosa, dating back more than 600 years, in the middle of the vegetation.
To find the specimen, you have to pass through the Fazenda São Francisco. The family of travelers portrays what you can buy there:
The owner, Mr. Antônio, has a small emporium with delicacies such as doce de leite, wild honey and artisanal cachaças. All produced on the farm itself!
Quadricycle ride in Analândia
Finally, a little more excitement could end the adventure on a high note! The Wales share that, together with the Vrum Analândia and guide Douglas, they were able to ride quad bikes through the parks of Morro do Cuscuzeiro and Morro do Camelo. At the end, they watched the sunset amidst nature.
